What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure that is performed on the skin’s surface. It uses a mechanical exfoliation technique to remove dead skin cells, creating a smoother appearance and more supple skin. Microdermabrasion is also known as “chemical peels” or “peel therapy”.
The procedure involves an instrument with diamond-tipped tips that is placed in the treatment area. The instrument is gently rubbed over the skin to abrade off old, damaged skin cells and stimulate new cell growth.
The benefits of microdermabrasion include:
- It reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
- Improves texture and tone of skin—reduces hyperpigmentation (dark spots).
- Promotes collagen production—decreases signs of aging.
- It treats acne scarring, rosacea, age spots, and melasma.
- Relieves itching due to eczema, psoriasis, or other conditions.

Step
Consultation
A consultation is the first time we will meet to discuss your skincare goals and receive a detailed analysis of your existing skincare routine.
2.
Step
Treatment phase
During cream preparation or designated treatment day, we will apply products to thin the product while allowing it to absorb deeply into the skin during treatment. Products applied at this stage allow microdermabrasion with fewer abrasive effects than using water alone.

Post-Treatment Care
As microdermabrasion very frequently leaves the skin red and irritated, we recommend using a rich moisturizing lotion immediately post-treatment. Enhancement care is recommended the following morning after microdermabrasion. For an extra boost, we recommend applying a non-comedogenic moisturizer (with sun protection) for the skin type that tends to be oily. Then use our acne/melasma treatments three times weekly over four weeks to maximize the resolution of these issues. However, this may differ depending on how far down you want the procedure performed.
